Default SC 10 III install (with pics now)

I read all posts about installing an sc10 III and now have all the parts i need to do the install. I picked up some drop brackets from cbperformance and have a dilema here. My donar sled shows 6 and 3/8" to the rear mount. When using the drop brackets my rear bolt will be 8 and 1/4".Thats an inch and seven eigths difference. My question here is do i drop my front mount 1 and 7/8" also, too keep the same level of the suspension? Attached is my donar sled info...2001 MX-ZX 700. I read all posts and could not find any info on this subject for sc 10III's, just guys dropping the edge skid 7/8".

I don't think you have to drop it quite that far,,, but the upper wheels on the doo skid are smaller than the yamahas....

I would not drop the front mount. If you are wanting to lift the rear of sled dropping the front mounts for the suspention will only cause the rails to have more weight on them.It could be levaled out by pulling up the straps but that is defeating the purpose no?

Why not put the drop brackets on bolt the skid in and look were the front axle wants to sit to keep the skid flat on the ground.

Did you drop the front to match the drop brackets?

I didn't have to drop the front brackets at all. I mounted the rear first as blue said then compressed suspension to 24" and swung it up into tunnel till the rails were level with floor. and it worked out to my measurements that i had transferred inside from the driveshaft. I will post photos when i get it all back together, just waiting on the 2 collars that slide on the jackshaft and driveshaft that fit into oil seals. They were pitted up pretty bad so i figured since i was doing all new driveline bearings, may as well put new collars also. good for another 12,000 + km's!!

Heres the final product. Just got a call saying that other chaincase parts are in. Just in time seeing that the snow is falling!! Couple little things to finish up on it then bag it.
