Default Track deflection for 1000' speed run

What are you guys setting your track deflection to for best speeds? They used to say loose just to the point before ratcheting was fastest, now I'm seeing some guys are running their tracks tight. I tried 1.75" deflection and was ratcheting pretty bad with lots of traction at take off. Has anyone ever tested a tighter track vs loose track? I may just try the stock setting of 1.18". Anyone with any experience in speed runs feel free to chime in. I'm gonna try out some 1000' radar runs this weekend.....thanks

That's something your gonna have to play with as each sled is alittle different. I run mine alittle tighter and it does make a big difference. My friend had an 02 and he liked to run his track loose like you said, just to the point of ratcheting. Well we were doing some top speed runs side by side with a GPS and I was right next to him and watched his track come straight down off the drivers, hit the ground, back up to the rails at a 45', then back off the rails then under. He only hit 106, cranked the track to the tight side, next run was 113.

Maybe different for radar runs where your hooking up at the start, but we just play around for top speed.
