How do these 2 belts compare to each other? Are the compounds pretty close? Dimensionally they are damn near identical. I am going to use an OEM Yamaha belt on my 440 Exciter oval sled, but I was wondering if the HPX5008 would be pretty close to OEM, to have as a spare belt in the trailer. I know that certain aftermarket belts are a harder compound, and I don't know if this is the case here or not. Otherwise I'll just buy another OEM belt for the spare. Was thinking I'd save about $35 on the spare belt from Dayco instead.
I found when you clutch to the Yamaha belt its more consistent and less slipping then the Dayco.
